July 20 - 2008
Wow, summer is almost half over!  Last month Kyle and I kick started our summer with an annual water-ski trip with his parents in Oregon.  We also celebrated our two year anniversary!  Nothing too exciting for the rest of the summer though, small trips here and there, but mostly enjoying spending time at home. 


January 21 - 2008
Hey everyone! It's been one crazy travilin' month for us.  We've been up all over Oregon then to Las Vegas and everywhere in between.   Not to mention two birthdays in a row.  We celebrated Kyle's birthday by camping out in Santa Barbara beaches and enjoying some hot springs.  Then the guys went out for some good old fasion paint-balling-- i stayed home:) Hopefully after all the fun we can bukle down and focus on school and work again... but no guarantees.

June 28 - 2007
We just returned from a one and a half week vacation to Oregon. Along with Kyle's family we first went water skiing in eastern Oregon and camping at Awyhee Lake. Then Kyle and I went to Portland for our first anniversary and he had some nice surprises for me! We joined the rest of the family on the Columbia the next day to go fishing. The next day we went back to Bend and visited with some friends. On our way home we stopped at Crater lake and saw the Tempest in Ashland on their Elizabethan stage! It was a blast! May 11 - 2007
Kyle and I have been full force into spring.  With his newfound walking abilities we have not been wasting any of the precious sunlight. Camping at Big Sur, time at the beach, hiking, 15 mile bike rides, and tonight we went fishing out on Santa Margarita Lake with a picnic dinner! Between all the fun, I have been keeping up with school, and the quarter is already half over! I'm counting down the days until summer...



March 22 - 2007
This quarter is finally done!  What a crazy time!  I posted some of my papers in the Downloads section if your interested.  There is one on Shakspeare's Sonnets, the Globalization of McDonald's, and the Chernobyl Power Plant accident.  Some of them might be fun for you to skim if your interested in the subject.  These papers just go to show how diverse my learning experience was this quarter.  Anyways I think they are pretty good papers (I got A's on all of them) so feel free to take a look and tell me what you think! 


March 02 - 2007
Last weekend we participated in the quarterly "Photo Rally" and lost by six points for first place!!!  Anyways, it was a blast, we had not had so much fun for a long time.  You can check out the photo results at: http://www.kandj.us/PhotoRally/2007/.  The game took place from 10am - 6pm all day Saturday and they gave us a list of different adjetives and objectives to take pictures of around SLO county.  The results are very amusing. January 03 - 2007
Well we've made it through another holiday season.  It started with Kyle's hunting trip to Mexico, and I joined him for a week at the beach in Mazatlan.  It was wonderful warm weather and warm water!  Then we joined some family down in San Diego for Christmas which was filled with relaxing, great food, and swimming at the pool. For New Years I went to San Antonio Texas for a wedding of a good friend of mine.  It was a crazy but fun winter break, and I'm glad I have a good few days before school starts again:) All the best for the new year.


October 14 - 2006
Our house is approved!! After months of work and waiting, our house is finally "legal".  It was a huge moment when we were able to have a complete house with all the appliences.  Hats off to Kyle for making it all happen, he had continually worked hard for this day, and deserves a lot of credit. 


September 26 - 2006
I started Cal Poly yesterday with 12 units! hopefully it will be a good transition to the quarter system.  I am taking 2 English classes, including midevil liturature, where I get to read Dante's Inferno and Chaucer. I am also going back to Francais une, un cours du francais n'est pas facile. 


July 06 - 2006
Kyle and I have finally returned from our advantures over the pacific.  We stayed 10 days in Hawaii with my family and got married in Ohau!  It was beautiful! After, Kyle and I went to Thailand for our honeymoon for 10 days.  we stayed 5 nights in Phuket, at a beautiful resort on the ocean, and 5 nights in Chiang Rai (up north).  In Chiang Rai we hung out with a native missionary who plants churches to villages far out in the coutry of Thailand and Burma.  It was an amazing trip, and I am glad to be home now to start a new life together.  


May 15 - 2006
I officially graduated from Cuesta! I finished today with my last final, and now not only have an AA, but a CSU tranfer degree.  Now I have an official paper that says I can go through more school.  yeah! I will sure miss cuesta.... now on to Cal Poly.

January 17 - 2006
I went back to school today. I only need one class to get my CSU tansfer degree, but I'm taking lots of fun art classes like sculpture and digital art.  Should be more on the fun side of school.  Well I tried to quit my job, but I went back to work today.  Not only did I try and quit, but this week I am working every day... now tell me how that happens?  On other news I moved into a new apartment and love it. I also attendend the bible college Isaiah class tonight, then kyle and I came home and made biscuts... with home made jam we got for christmas:) 


December 19 - 2005

Shalom, we have spent the last few days in Jerusalem, and it has been really amazing.  Today we went to the western wall of the old temple, and yesterday we went to the mount. of olives and walked the last night of Jesus. 

God's been showing me some great things on the trip, and i've meet some cool people, but I can't wait to come home! see you all soon...

made it to Isreal! we spent today in Tel Aviv doing an outreach next to the mediteranean sea.  tomorrow we are going out on a boat in the sea of Galilee! It's been good fellowship, good food, and great places.

Well today was my last day working at the law firm.... kind of.  i'm "quitting" so i can have some vacation time:) i leave for Isreal for two weeks next Wednesday and also finish up the fall semester.  The office took me out for a very nice italian lunch, i would be more sad, but i know I will be working again next January.(Just fewer hours) I've been working here for almost 2 years!  The only way to get a vacation around here is threating to quit! :)

It's back to school time!  I'm finally back into a normal routine with work and school.  This semester i am taking Life Science, Group discussion, Astronomy, and a literature class.  no art classes:( .  I also just returned from Michigan for a stay to see my Grandma and other relatives, and i hope to go back soon to visit again:)

Finals are over! can't believe another semester has gone by, "no more school, no more books, and no more teacher's dirty looks". or "Role out those lazy, hazy, crazy, days of summer, those days of cola's, and pretzels, and beer." - sorry it's a sheilds thing. Went to Auburn this past weekend with my roomates Laura and Amber.   We stayed at Laura's house and had lots of fun.  Her sister owns her own store where we made necklaces and found some costumes.  i just got a new camera last weekend, so check out the picture section if you dare.

Turned 20 today, yes i am out of the teens and starting a whole new decade.  We had a party and some sushi of course, then the girls won in the game battle of the sexes:) We'll see what God has instore for the next 10 years.....

Happy 2005! i've returned from a white christmas in Michigan and exciting new year in New York City. A trip filled with lots of family, friends, good food, gifts, love, and lots of traveling.

I returned from a two week trip to Kenya, Africa last August and am currantly finishing a video documentary of the trip.  Trailer in downloads section soon.

school, work, school, work, school, work, school- cuesta fall semester. calvary bible college quarter, work at law firm in SLO.  back to the same schedual.
