Life is good for the Michigan Pottengers. Alexa is growing like crazy and doing very well. I can't believe that God is letting us take care of her. :-) John's business has kept him quite busy and made it possible for us to continue doing the things we love, such as eating and having a place to live. Woo hoo! :-) Dozer is adjusting to less attention, although he thinks that he can share toys, blankets and laps with Alexa. Not much else new here- we're looking forward to seeing family again over the holidays!

It is with great joy and thankfulness to the Lord that we announce the arrival of our daughter Alexandra Brianne (we call her Alexa). She arrived on Wednesday, August 22 weighing 7lbs and 6oz and measured 19 inches long. She has a ton of dark hair and dimples that will make you melt. Mom, Dad and Alexa are all doing great.

Well, the countdown to "d-day" is nearing completion...3 weeks until the official due date (although I am convinced that I won't have the baby on my due date :-) It won't be long and baby potts will be making her appearance! Stay tuned...

For those of you that don't already know...drumroll please...
It's a GIRL!!!! :-) After much waiting, we were finally able to find out what we're having. The ultrasound tech sounded pretty positive, and it was a pretty clear view. And no, we're not telling a name until she's born. We have to make you wait for something!

For those who had not yet heard, my grandfather Homer Pottenger went to be with the Lord last Saturday April 21, 2007. He was honored with a military Honor Guard ceremony at Fort Custer in Battle Creek, MI on Thursday afternoon as well as a memorial service in Kalamazoo, MI on Friday morning.
Here is a video I (John) made along with help from my Dad and others to commemorate his life. This video played at the Friday Memorial Service.

Well, after the suspense of not knowing if we're having a boy or a girl...we get more suspense! We went in for the ultrasound this morning, happy to find that we have a very healthy but uncooperative baby...who would not move his or her legs no matter what. So sorry, folks, no news here. Looks like we'll have to do things the old-fashioned way and wait... :-) (there are some updated ultrasound photos in the pictures section, though)

We've just returned from a great time with the family in California. (not to mention being able to escape the unseasonable April cold in Michigan) Peggy and I had a joint baby shower that was lots of fun, and we were able to spend time with Jen & Kyle at their house too. AND this is the week for the big ultrasound...so soon you can stop asking...we hope to find out if we're having a boy or girl! We'll keep you posted... - Amy

Not a lot new in G-Town. It's snowing. A lot. (surprised?) A few more weeks and we'll hopefully get to find out if baby potts is a boy or a girl. Other than that, not much to report.
